Instructions
- Step 1:
- Using a star-shaped cookie cutter cut a star from each bread slice Reserve the scraps for breadcrumbs or another use
- Step 2:
- In a bowl mix cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth
- Step 3:
- Stir in red and yellow bell peppers cucumber carrot and chives Season with salt and pepper
- Step 4:
- Spread a generous layer of the vegetable cream cheese mixture onto half of the star-shaped bread pieces
- Step 5:
- Top with the remaining bread stars to form sandwiches
- Step 6:
- For decoration gently press slices of cherry tomato pomegranate seeds and herbs into the top of each sandwich to resemble jewels
