01 - 1 large broccoli head, cut into small florets

07 - 12 ounces angel hair pasta

# Method:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Toss broccoli florets and whole garlic cloves with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 18 to 20 minutes, tossing halfway, until broccoli is tender and lightly charred and garlic is soft and golden.
03 - While roasting, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
04 - Transfer roasted garlic cloves to a cutting board and mash thoroughly with a fork.
05 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add mashed garlic, roasted broccoli, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes. Incorporate cooked pasta and toss to combine.
06 - Pour lemon juice and a splash of reserved pasta water into the skillet to loosen the mixture. Stir in Parmesan cheese and toss until creamy and evenly coated.
07 - Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.
08 - Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
