Recipe FAQ

How do roasted cranberries enhance this dish?

Roasted cranberries add sweet-tart pops that brighten the rich tomato base, offering unexpected bursts of fruity flavor with every bite.

Can I make it vegetarian?

Yes, substitute plant-based sausage or sautéed mushrooms and use vegetable broth for a meatless version with great depth.

What cheeses work best for the topping?

Ricotta gives creaminess, mozzarella adds stretch, and Parmesan delivers salty sharpness. All combine for a classic lasagne effect.

Will noodles get too soft if stored?

Noodles may soften and soup may thicken upon storage; add a splash of broth when reheating to refresh texture.

Is this suitable for meal prep?

Absolutely, the soup keeps well. Add cheese and cranberries fresh upon serving for best taste and presentation.

What wine pairs well?

Try a light-bodied red wine like Pinot Noir or Barbera to complement the tomato and sausage elements without overpowering.
